Introducing Peru Perfiles coffee, one of the leading selections from the Perfiles cooperative in Chontali, Cajamarca. This coffee represents the essence of Peruvian character thanks to its natural processing, where ripe cherries are dried in the sun on raised beds and concrete terraces. This process gives the coffee a distinctive flavour and aroma that will delight even the most discerning coffee lover.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
The Perfiles cooperative was founded in 2019 and brings together 219 members from the districts of Chontalí, Pomahuaca, Sallique and Jaen. Their combined efforts and passion for coffee have led to the creation of unique lots that stand out for their quality. The Pomahuaca region is known for its rich cultural heritage and agricultural traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation. Chontalí, one of the twelve districts of the province of Jaén, is located in the upper basin of the Huayllabamba River, an ideal location for agricultural production. The area is also characterised by its diverse deciduous forests and its wealth of orchids.
ABOUT THE TASTE
This lot is processed using a natural method, giving the coffee a distinctive and rich flavour. Thanks to its high altitude – 1900 to 2050 metres – the coffee stands out for its fruity notes, which are supported by the complex flavours of milk chocolate and rooibos tea. Roasted for espresso.
